  1. Personally, I recommend a long gun as a first gun. Probably personal bias: I can’t hit the broad side of a barn from 10 feet with a revolver or a pistol. Different story altogether with a long gun.

    • Yeah, Im not afraid to admit I cant hit a thing with a traditional snub nose revolver. Interestingly I can shoot pretty well with a little .22 Ruger LCR so my mechanics seem okay. They are just weird little devils. The one and only niche I really see for one is a “get off me” gun where you shove it into the belly/ear/eye/etc of an assailant. But a bigger gun that you can actually aim with can fill that same roll so…
